About Soil Explained

Soil Explained exists because soil advice online is a mess. One site says add lime, the next says lime ruined their garden, and a forum thread from 2011 insists both are wrong. I got tired of digging through that, so I am building the resource I wanted: plain answers about dirt, backed by real numbers, written for people who just want their plants to grow.

Everything here follows the same rule. One question, one page, one clear answer. No recycled fluff, no padding to hit a word count, and no advice I would not use in my own yard.

The site is young and I am building it in the open. Topic guides and free calculators are going up section by section, starting with soil testing. If a page you need is not here yet, it is almost certainly on the list.

Soil Explained is fully independent. Nobody pays for placement here, and when I eventually recommend a product, it will be because it earned the spot.
